Free product
The brand sponsors the observational study. You get the panel, the device, the supplement, the protocol kit, at no cost.
Often pre-release
Originals frequently launch before the brand opens the product to the public. You see what's coming first, and your data shapes the launch.
Structured experiment
Each study runs as an Outliyr experiment with baseline, target, and watch metrics. No spreadsheet. A clearer read on whether your metrics moved.
Personal Scientist on it
The same AI layer that runs across your wearable + lab data reads the study outcome. You get an individualized read, not just a brand testimonial.
Cohort percentiles (coming soon)
See where you landed in the cohort distribution, with your actual placement instead of a vague "67% felt better" stat.
No data exposure
Brands receive aggregate cohort outcomes only. Your individual data stays with you.
Why this exists
Most "biohacker testimonials" are three people on a podcast.
A cohort of 40 self-quantifying members running a structured protocol with wearable and lab context is far more useful than a marketing testimonial. Brands fund the observational study because they get aggregate outcome distributions, not marketing quotes. Members get free product (often pre-release) and a clearer read on whether their metrics moved. Outliyr provides the experiment engine and the privacy boundary.

Apply
Pro and Max members see open Originals in their dashboard. Apply with the data Outliyr already has on you. No long forms, no separate accounts.
Enroll
Selected members are enrolled, the study is set up as a structured Outliyr experiment with baseline window, target metrics, and watch metrics, all pre-defined.
Receive
The brand ships product directly. Outliyr handles tracking and timeline so you do not need to manage a parallel spreadsheet.
Run + log
Use the product on the protocol the experiment specifies. Log compliance via the existing Outliyr stack flow. Wearable + journal data flows in automatically.
Contribute outcomes
Personal Scientist surfaces individual results. Aggregate outcomes (anonymized) flow back to the brand and forward into Outliyr cohort percentiles (coming soon).

Every Outliyr member, including Free, can apply to Outliyr Originals. Tier-based early access is the perk we built so the people who fund the platform get a head start when high-demand cohorts open.

Originals FAQ.
Is the product free?
Yes. The brand sponsors the observational study in exchange for aggregated, anonymized outcome data. You receive the product at no cost.
Do brands see my individual data?
No. Brands receive aggregate cohort outcomes (e.g. "67% of compliant members saw a sleep-efficiency improvement of more than 5%"). Personal data stays with you.
What happens if results are flat?
Aggregate outcomes get reported regardless. A study showing no clear cohort movement is still useful. We do not bend results for sponsors.
Are there current open Originals?
Open studies surface in your dashboard once you have an Outliyr account. The slate above is illustrative; live cohorts rotate.
