Why Outliyr · From the founder
I built Outliyr because I needed it.
After 260+ podcast episodes interviewing the world's top performance researchers, the gap was always the same. Scattered data, no real answers. So I built the tool I wished existed.
The founding story
For 12 years I tried every dashboard.
I started running self-experiments on my own body in my early twenties. Cycled supplements, tracked recovery, journaled food, pulled blood panels, ran every wearable that came out. The pattern was always the same: I had more data than any clinician would ever read in a year, and I still could not answer "is this peptide actually doing what it claims?"
The tools all fell into one of two camps. Either they were beautiful aggregators that visualized my data without telling me what it meant. Or they were narrow programs that picked one thread (glucose, HRV, gut, sleep) and ignored the other nine.
After 260+ episodes interviewing researchers, doctors, and the most data-rich biohackers on the planet, I realized the missing piece was the experiment itself. Define a baseline. Define an intervention. Define what wins look like. Watch the metrics the intervention shouldn't affect, in case it does. Then run it.
Outliyr is that engine, surrounded by the bookkeeping it needs to be useful: every wearable, every supplement, every protocol, every lab, every daily context input, joined into one workflow.
The thesis
High performers don't need another dashboard. They need the tool that finally answers.
Outliyr is for one specific kind of person: someone already spending real money and real attention on optimization, who is sick of being unable to tell what is actually working. The brand is named for outliers because the people we built this for are the 99th-percentile optimizers other founders study.
Modern science
Every protocol grounded in current research. Personal Scientist cites the studies behind its findings.
Historical use
Compounds and protocols are evaluated against their long-arc human-use record, not just the latest trial.
Traditional systems
Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, ancestral practice. Filtered through evidence, not romanticized.
The podcast that fed the product
260+ episodes of High Performance Longevity.
Outliyr started as a podcast. Five years and 260+ episodes later, the show is ranked top 5% of podcasts globally (Listen Notes), #3 best nootropics podcast (Million Podcasts), #19 top biohacking podcast (Feedspot), and #17 top indie life sciences show all-time (Goodpods). The product was built directly from the questions that came up in those interviews and from the protocols those researchers were running on themselves.
